Review contractor submitted claims and verify estimate, work scope, material quantities, specifications, etc. relative to terms and conditions of Contract.
Recommend solutions and strategies for settlement of claims
Work proactively with project team in mitigation of potential claims to protect Company’s interests
Participate in negotiation and investigation of contractual claims / disputes.
Maintain project change reporting logs and report to project management as required. Initiate, review, and respond to Requests for Information and Site Construction Memos when necessary or as directed by the project management.
Provide resolution of commercial disputes, claim settlement, and prepare justification for arbitration cases so as to protect Company’s interest.
Key attributes of the position are an ability to work as part of a team and the ability to effectively interact with a variety of senior management personnel and multiple cultures.
The successful candidate must be flexible, goal oriented, have strong personal skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to work independently.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Commitment to working safely (Incident & Injury Free) at all times.
Minimum 10 years experience in a contracting, cost control, estimating, or similar role with significant experience managing and settling contract claims on large lump sum EPC contracts
Experience on major oil & gas industry projects
Excellent English language communication skills (written and verbal) including ability to communicate with contractors and Company management
Experience with scheduling and cost estimating
BSc in Engineering, Finance, or equivalent
Analytical/creative skills
Computer literate (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
